I am in full agreement with the above views and

have accepted the advice of the Executive Council. The

Report will now be published and laid before the Legislative

Council and steps will be taken to give effect to decisions

which have been reached.

You will, I have no doubt, agree that the Committee

has performed its difficult task in a most satisfactory manner.

They have arrived at conclusions which are wholly acceptable

both to the Government and, so far as I can judge, to all the

interests concerned. I have expressed to the Chairman, Mr. T.M.

Hazlerigg, C.B.E., M.C., and to the members of the Committee

the cordial appreciation of the Government and I have much

pleasure in bringing to your notice the very valuable services

which they have performed.

I have the honour to be,

Sir,

Your most obedient, humble servant,

Mark Trung.
